Check out this great product I found!

Welcome to  tips and help to stop smoking. The site that provides the almost complete guide to stop smoking and much more. So, what is this site about, and more importantly, what is it not about. First off, it is not another medically inspired site telling you how bad smoking is for you, parading images of diseased lungs and clogged arteries. If this worked then no one would be smoking, right? And there are few thinking people these days who honestly believe that smoking is a health tonic. This site is aimed and dedicated to smokers who would like to quit, or are perhaps considering the possibility, and would like to obtain information to acheive that aim. I’m not peddling easy fixes or cures ( no snake oil here), because quite simply, I don’t think they exist for something as complex as tobacco addiction. And don’t believe ‘Big Tobacco’ when they say that cigarettes are non addicting, because that is not the case. Yes, smokers, you are addicts, addicts to the drug nicotine, to believe otherwise is self delusion.  What I intend to do is to write about a whole host of tobacco related activities (not just smoking) and provide relevant, and hopefully, thought provoking information that will lead the smoker to question their smoking choice.  I will also manoeuvre  through the bewildering maze of quit smoking techniques and products and  provide my readers with a map for its happy traverse.  Stop smoking products, aids and techniques will be reviewed and recommendations made. Posts will be dedicated to subsidiary topics such as the ‘history of tobacco use’ and the ‘nature of substance abuse’. I may even inject a little science into my posts. But don’t be alarmed gentle reader, I promise to keep the boring stuff to a minimum. At this point you might be asking: ‘why should we listen to this guy, is he a medical doctor or a psychologist with specialist training in addiction? I am none of these. So before you move elsewhere, I’ll state my case. I’m a professional scientist although, I have no formal qualifications or training in addiction or tobacco related issues. However, I do know a lot about dandelions so feel free to ask questions. What I do have is a passionate interest in the subject of smoking cessation; an interest borne out of my own bitter experience. As an ex- smoker I really do know how hard it is to quit smoking and more importantly, to stay a  committed long term non-smoker.  The problem with smoking, apart from the addiction, is the long latency period between starting smoking and associated disease. And finally, and most importantly, the fact that smoking is legal. I am not an advocate for the total ban of smoking- it would never work. But it is these factors that lull smokers into thinking that perhaps smoking is not all that bad, at least in the short term, and that they just have to stop long before health problems become apparent. But of course, if it was that easy then there would simply be no need for this site.
